The HDMI extender includes two units: transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is used to capture the input HDMI/DVI signals and carries the signals through two CAT-5/5e/6 network cables. The receiver is responsible for equalizing the sent TMDS multimedia data. The transmission distance between sending and receiving can be up to 80 meters at 1080i and 50 meters at 1080p. The HDMI Extender boosts or extends your video/audio transmission distance up to 50 meters in HDTV 1080p format. With two low cost CAT-5/5e/6 cables, users can readily extend audio/video signals from DVD players, PS3, PC, and any other kinds of sources compliant with TMDS to distant display monitors including HDMI/DVI enabled TV sets or LCD PC monitors. This unit provides the cost effectiveness to transmit high quality video and audio signals to HDTVs at a longer distance.
